Renew and remodel your old footwear.

Have you got a bunch of old footwear that you are bored of and do not feel like wearing any more? But can't dispose them because it was your favourite once upon a time. So why not try and make it wearable once again by doing a small addition to it. I too have a couple of footwear in a similar situation. Let's do a simple DIY to renew and remodel old shoes. See how a small decorative button can change the entire look of the old footwear.

So let's begin..

This is an old, worn out, boring footwear that I have. When it was new, these were my favourite pretty pink suede stilettos I would love to wear. It was perfect, would go on all the dresses.

It has also become dirty being kept aside without use. So, the first step is to take a cotton cloth and clean it. Clean the inner sides and bottom with a wet cloth. If you have a polish, you can apply that as well. Let it stay in air for 15 minutes. A deep cleaning will bring back some glow.

It had tiny pink bows on them, which got frayed so I had to remove them. Now they have big glue-stain as you can see. These need to hide.

I had some spare buttons or decorative pieces left from my dress. These red flowers are big enough to cover the stain, and the colour is also complementary. You could also use any coloured gems or stones from any of the old earrings or accessories you have. Such pieces are also available in any craft stores.

Let's stick them on. You can use fevi kwik. It's easily available, cheap and convenient to use. We add some glue on the base of the button and stick it over. You should hold it for 2 minutes to assure proper fixing.

Repeat this for the other one. And yoohoo! It's done.

I have remodeled a pair of Jooti too..

The Jooti before and after.. The final result is a very humble, minimal yet eye-catchy look.

Guys, that's all. I hope you liked it.. Please comment if you have any questions or suggestions.  Bye!
